Services & pricing

Web design and web app prices for Swindon businesses

Straight pricing, and no packages you didn't ask for. Every website below comes fully built, live, and working on your own domain name. Pick a base site and add only the features you need, or jump straight to a ready-made build if you already know roughly what you want.

First: do you need a website or a web application?

This changes the price more than anything else, and most quotes never explain it. Here it is without the jargon.

A standard website

Shows information. Every visitor sees the same thing: your services, your prices, your story, your phone number. Nobody logs in, nothing is stored about them, and it doesn't need to remember anyone. It's your shopfront, and for a lot of businesses, that's genuinely all that's needed.

Best for: trades, consultants, restaurants, clinics, local services.

A web application

Remembers each visitor and reacts to them. People make an account, log in, book a slot, pay you, upload something, or see their own information. That needs a database, safe logins, and rules about who can see what. It is more work to build, and more work to keep safe.

Best for: bookings, memberships, customer account areas, online payments, and tools for your own staff.

Step one

Base site tiers

Start by choosing how much site you need. Where a project lands in its range depends on the number of pages, the content, and how much custom design it needs.

One-page site

£400–700

One smart page: who you are, what you offer, and how to contact you. Good for a tradesperson, a sole trader, or anyone who needs to look professional fast.

Basic site

£750–1,200

3–5 pages, such as Home, About, Services and Contact. More room to explain what your business does.

Every tier includes

  • Works properly on phones, tablets and computers
  • Set up on your own domain name
  • Basic search engine setup, so Google can find you
  • A working contact form
  • A handover session, so you know how to run it

Step two

Already know what you need?

Ready-made mixes that cover most of what businesses ask for, priced as one job.

Basic site + self-editing

£1,050–1,700

A basic site you can edit yourself, so you can change text and pictures without asking me. Good if you just want control of your own content.

Standard site + self-editing + booking

£2,500–3,900

A standard site with self-editing and an online booking calendar. Popular with salons, therapists, tutors, consultants and clinics.

Standard site + online payments

£2,400–3,800

A standard site where customers can pay you safely on the site itself. Good for deposits, fixed-price services, or selling online.

If none of these quite fit, use the add-ons below to build your own combination, or get in touch and describe what you need.

Step three

Add-ons

Mix and match. You can add any of these to any base site.

Blog posts, written and published for you

Most businesses start a blog and stop after three posts. This writes one for you, emails it to you to read, and puts it on your site if you're happy with it. It's what writes the blog on this site.

Setting it up

One-off. Connecting it to your site, writing the rules in your own words, a first batch of ideas, and the first post gone through together.

£350

Fortnightly

£29/month

A post every other week. Enough to keep the site looking looked-after.

Weekly

£49/month

A post a week, which builds up a library of answers to the questions customers actually ask.

Two a week

£79/month

For shops and busy service businesses with a lot of ground to cover.

Every post is emailed to you before it goes anywhere, and one word from you stops it. Running costs are included, you keep the posts, and you can cancel any time. It works with sites I've built and with Shopify shops; if yours is something else, ask and I'll tell you straight whether it can hook in.

Bigger, more custom builds

Need several of these at once, such as logins, bookings, payments and an admin area? It is usually cheaper to build them as one job than to price each part on its own. Get in touch and I will quote for it.
